Why We Ship From Amman
Share
MELevant ships from Amman. That is a slower route to most of our customers than a domestic warehouse would be, and we are asked about it often enough that it deserves a proper answer.
The short version: we are in the region our collection represents, and that is not a detail we want to give up.
What Being Here Changes
Distance from a subject shows up in how it is described.
Working from inside the region means the distinctions that matter locally are the ones we work with daily. Sidr leaf and Sidr fruit are not the same product. Ithmid is a specific stone, not a category of black powder. A resin's grade is visible before anyone mentions it.
None of that requires special access. It requires being close enough that the distinctions are ordinary rather than researched.

Why Not Warehouse Abroad
It would be faster. It would also change what we are.
A regional warehouse operation means committing to volume, holding stock in bulk, and narrowing the range to what moves predictably. Seasonal products become difficult. Small-batch items become uneconomic. The collection would drift toward whatever sells fastest rather than what belongs.
Shipping from here keeps the range open. We can stock something with a short season, or a limited run, or a narrow audience, because we are not committing a warehouse to it.
The Trade We Are Asking You to Make
We would rather state this plainly than let you discover it after ordering.
Ordering from us takes longer than ordering domestically. International shipping from Jordan involves distance, customs processing, and handovers between carriers. Times vary by country, season, and destination — your checkout will show the current estimate, and our shipping policy has the details.
What you get for that wait is a product that came from the region it belongs to, described by people who work with it there.
Whether that trade is worth it depends on what you are buying. For a mass-produced item, probably not. For a seasonal botanical or a traditional preparation, we think it is.
Customs and Duties
Also worth saying directly: international orders may be subject to import duties or taxes in your country, depending on local rules and order value.
These are set by your customs authority, not by us, and they are not included in our prices. We would rather you know that before ordering than at the door.
Two Places, One Business
Middle East Group LLC is registered in the United States, which is what allows us to operate properly as an international ecommerce business — payments, customer service, and the obligations that come with selling internationally.
The products themselves ship from Amman.
The structure exists so that the sourcing can stay where it is while the business meets international standards. Neither half works alone.
What This Does Not Mean
Being based in the region is a starting point, not a guarantee. Location does not make a product good.
What it does is remove a layer of distance between the product and the description — and in a category where the description is where most of the value is lost, that layer matters more than it might sound.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does MELevant ship from Jordan?
Because we operate from inside the region our collection represents, and keeping sourcing there is central to how we work.
Would a warehouse abroad be faster?
Yes, and it would also narrow the range. Warehousing rewards predictable volume, which makes seasonal and small-batch products difficult to carry.
How long does delivery take?
It varies by destination, season, and carrier. Your checkout shows the current estimate for your address, and our shipping policy has the details.
Will I pay customs duties?
Possibly, depending on your country's rules and the order value. Duties are set by your customs authority and are not included in our prices.
Why is the company registered in the United States?
Middle East Group LLC supports the international side of the business. The products ship from Amman.
Does being based in the region guarantee quality?
No. It removes distance between the product and how it is described. Quality still comes down to individual selection.
